# Edition 08 changelog

## 2026-10-09 — complete creative-reference programme

This edition continues from Edition 07 without replacing its source history. The programme is documentation, reference imagery, reader work and future development planning; actual game BUILD and production assets remain separate.

### Connected creative completion

Added eight canonical source families, totaling 35 new chapters, for the complete journey, future build handoff, seven farther campaigns, industry, equipment, spacecraft, living Earth and player experience. Earlier Earth, Moon, Mars, Tier 1, workshop, material and source-reconciliation writing remains complete and reachable.

The current reference explains preparation, arrival, local activities, generation obligations, support, retreat, recovery, discovery, useful return and revisits. It retains the finite destination roster, optional branches and conditional Mars ecology. Numerical recipes, balance and physical fit remain evidence-dependent.

### Illustrations and exact graphics

Integrated 151 selected generated concept boards, 160 editable diagrams and 31 unchanged published assets. Source references, stable identities, originals, selected/rejected records, meaningful panel descriptions and limitations remain available. The approved rich Minecraft visual language follows REF03, CD05-A03 and the endorsed homepage/Worlds/Systems assets.

The historical 1,076-view checklist is preserved with an additive, individually reasoned current overlay. Seven genuinely conditional/unselected views remain explicit. A covered reference duty does not assert delivery of every future game mesh, animation or texture.

### Reader and development planning

Added current subject entrances, complete persistent contents, current section/follow navigation, mobile keyboard behavior, exact-ID and full-text search, useful comparisons, full-context image viewing, chapter notes/export, later-story reveal controls and print adaptations.

Expanded the future build register to 76 units. Fourteen imported industry/equipment/spacecraft briefs receive explicit, source-derived scope overlays while preserving their original records. Source-root dependency lists remain explicit entry points, with current-authority and BUILD qualifications. All acceptance, evidence and significant-risk fields remain visible.

### Small tooling improvements

Reused established builders, parser, manifests and verification helpers. Edition-specific values and selected registers live together. Normalization resolves preserved historical authoring paths and prefers editable SVG originals over previews. Generation and delivery summaries are derived from retained structured records. Source/reader verification pins the exact bytes checked and rejects a served-file mismatch before browser interactions.

Added a no-wrap rule for short linked IDs and the missing semantic group role on historical edition statistics. These are reader presentation/accessibility corrections, not source-canon changes.

### Preservation, resets and evidence

All accepted Edition 07 payloads are preserved through their inventory and explicit previous-version copies. Earlier R1 closures and the SRC07-F01 current-versus-historical verification correction remain.

Workspace resets interrupted final closeout. Exact source, artwork and reviewed metadata were recovered from saved Git objects. The final restoration recovered 1,473 checkpoint files totaling 826,339,448 bytes with matching blob hashes. Two failed retrieval attempts remain in the evidence; the downloader was corrected to use the signed download field, with fresh directory responses.

Earlier observed source/reader passes whose raw logs were lost remain historical observations. Current release claims come only from the new retained gate files and matching reader/CSS/JS hashes. The detailed attempt history distinguishes preserved evidence, lost transient records and fresh checks.

### Delivery

Repository-only source and one exact-revision Website handoff. No ZIP, public Website deployment, game implementation, launcher work or game-ready asset production is performed by this source programme.

## 2026-10-09 — final reader accessibility and evidence correction

The first retained Lighthouse run timed out; its null score was incorrectly accepted by the harness. The original reports and superseded completion summaries are retained. The corrected guard requires a finite passing score, real scored audits, no runtime error and no errored audits; a negative control rejects the actual historical failure. The release recorder independently checks the raw Lighthouse report and its hash.

A bounded retry using the unchanged rule set and a longer evaluation timeout completed and found two actual reader issues. The derived reader now gives 85 direct historical subheadings the correct accessible level while retaining 38 genuinely nested H4 headings. The exact current-reader attribute corrections are registered; all canonical source files, earlier reader bytes and artwork remain unchanged. Material-reference table links now have sufficiently tall click targets. These changes require fresh source and full reader gates for the changed bytes.

The initial broad heading selector was narrowed after independent review. Its first build was rejected by exact-span preservation, and the final verifier accepts only the 85 registered opening-tag attributes while comparing every other byte. The build report's stale count formatter is separately corrected and retained in its receipt.

Large individual raw accessibility logs use round-trip-verified lossless encoding with original and stored hashes. No site ZIP or duplicate delivery archive is created.
