# Edition 07 — manual Website integration handoff

## Read the pinned source before changing derived material

The external delivery prompt/receipt names the immutable Edition 07 source commit
and `docs/creative-direction/snapshots/workshop-mars-07/substellar/` in
`K-J2/Substellar-Website`. Use that exact pin. Do not assume a moving branch is the
source edition. Read the current repository instructions and newer applicable
Website/game/launcher handoffs before integrating; preserve newer unrelated work.

This edition completes the approved documentation selection **Slice 1, then
Workshop + Mars**. It adds eight chapters and three narrative sources to the
complete preserved R1 reader. It activates P04 and refines P06/P07. No game BUILD,
launcher implementation, later hull engineering or new image allowance is granted.

## Credit the completed R1 loop

R1 source `37e53c694a862411c161ec08da92c0294712959c` was incorporated by the
Website. The report at `f26b096f8a08a0ca7f6671ed7656b4e5a8fbbf55` and maintainer
closeout at `48ea8b046c25a66af1d168913ffa71005d90dee2` close SRC06-F01–03. Preserve
that history; do not reopen the Windows path, repaired WebPs or 26 mappings.

The source contains exact copies of the closeout reports and four inspected
execution artifacts under `sources/evidence/website-r1-closeout/`. Committed
Website execution results are attributed evidence, not new tests performed by
this documentation build. The additional 18 final record-only deployment checks
remain chat-reported where no committed execution artifact was inspected.

## What changes in the derived Website

| Area | Source to inspect | Required treatment |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Reference / complete reader | `review_direction_07.txt`, current manifest and anchor map | Preserve all old chapters, artwork and fragment IDs. Add current review routes, decisions, exact source downloads and scope notices. |
| Systems / workshop | `workshop_refinement_07.txt`, `machine_relationships_07.json`, `workshop_orders_07.json` | Explain compact, regional and frontier choices; credit WP05; retain all 66 canonical responsibilities without implying 66 compulsory blocks. |
| Worlds / Mars | `mars_campaign_07.txt`, `mars_campaign_07.json` | Incorporate the existing five regions, three complete journeys, six yard stages, seven evidence steps and first PM03/PM04 applications. Remove only derived statements that still say P04 is unselected or unavailable; keep immutable history. |
| Visual standards | `style_reference_07.json`, `decisions_07.json`, C07-REV-06 | REF03 Tier 1 Moon is the primary benchmark; CD05-A03 forming workshop guides machines. Preserve the user's six explicit examples and their distinctions. |
| Artwork | `figures_07.json`, `visual_catalogue_07.json`, `image_generation_07.json` | Six selected boards, eight SVGs and four unchanged Website style assets are included. A01–05 remain functional studies with cleaner finish than the preferred standard. A06 is the corrected environmental candidate. Do not call any new board user-approved final production art. |
| Coverage / future work | `coverage_07.json`, `current_visual_coverage_07.json`, `completion_backlog_07.json` | Credit selected completion. The 1,076-row historical commissioning list is not a new mandatory art scope. Representative coverage never silently completes individual detailed views. |
| Roadmap and status | Pinned game authority plus newer independently read records | Documentation completion is not game implementation. Preserve the approved game sequence and current evidence; do not invent releases or shipped features. |

Use the complete sources and figures in context, not only this table. Current
maps include retained R1 relationships plus C07 sections and related machine
sections. `source_anchor_map_06.json` and prior registers remain unchanged.

## Art direction is now anchored to exact examples

The user explicitly rejected simplistic clean cubes as an overcorrection to
their earlier concern about photoreal ore/ingot/powder detail. Maintain the
cinematic Minecraft standard of the original Moon scene: rich varied pixel
materials, substantial geometry, atmospheric depth and restrained material
response. Workshop frames, joints, useful components and iron/copper/wood should
read like CD05-A03. Inventory items still need clear game-scale forms; micrograin,
photographic cloth fibers and smooth product renders are not the goal.

Four matching environment images were copied unchanged from Website revision
`48ea8b046c25a66af1d168913ffa71005d90dee2`, with exact original paths and Git blob
hashes in `style_reference_07.json`. Their new C07-REF identifiers are style
reference identities, not replacements for your Website assets or new gameplay
facts. REF03 and CD05-A03 keep their existing identities; avoid duplicate concepts.

The eighth and final allowed generation call replaced C07-A06 after a roof/source
correction and the user's style correction. Rejected attempts are provenance only
and are not selected current artwork. This handoff grants **zero new generation
calls**. SVG/HTML presentation and ordinary responsive use can be integrated
without inventing artwork or silently redefining a design.

## Keep these qualifications

- Compact-first Explorer remains a 9-high / 3×3 body / 5×5 fin candidate. A usable
airlocked cabin is required; actual fit and final dimensions remain unverified.
- REF10 fabrication and REF09 assembly with a separate linked berth remain the
confirmed pair. No third compulsory assembly table is introduced.
- A full Mars campaign does not establish compact Explorer's Mars reach, rover
carriage or later hull geometry. Appropriate Mars transport remains qualified.
- First Mars protection, supplies, vehicle/frame and instruments arrive from
earlier reachable capability. PM03 and PM04 improve later work; neither is a
circular prerequisite to the first safe sample or arrival.
- PM03's external rack corner and PM04's finite active cartridge are documented
recommendations. Exact recipes, substitutions, yields, capacities, rates and
material/implemented-ore equivalence remain unresolved. Null never means free.
- A reusable cartridge housing does not reactivate spent contents. Cargo, retained
specimens, process inputs, power and protected return stocks have actual custody.
- CEC01 Mars mats remain conditional and unselected. The geological campaign is
complete as proposed without native life. No new board adds mats.
- Keep parked-region behavior, manual synchronization, simulated-download and
shader-off/current-implementation qualifications. Artwork lighting is not a
  shader feature claim.
- P05, P08, P09, P12-C, P13, P14 and full P15 remain deferred. Narrow review entry
improvements are included; a full reader redesign is not silently activated.

## Verification and the return report

First run the supplied portable source verifier and inspect its actual limits.
Preserve the snapshot byte-for-byte. Derive Website changes separately, validate
source/figure mappings and earlier anchors, and follow the Website's current
release instructions under its existing authorization. This source handoff does
not itself declare a live deployment or an already passing Website release.

Provide an append-only report at a unique path such as
`docs/creative-direction/reports/2026-10-07-edition-07-integration/` with the exact
source, tested Website, delivery/publication commits where applicable, file
hashes, coverage, source corrections, artwork derivatives, actual checks and
explicit NOT RUN/deferred items. Use `website_return_template_07.md`.

The documentation maintainer's local Chromium attempt could not obtain a valid
browser archive. Do not inherit browser, accessibility or printed-layout PASS
from this source edition. The source and SVG checks have their own evidence.
Record new Website results separately; an independent full UI review, performance,
Firefox/WebKit and native/game QA remain unverified unless actually executed.

Return a prompt naming your pinned report and requested source corrections.
If no source correction is needed, say so directly so the maintainer can record
incorporation without manufacturing another round of work.
