# Planetary ecology — Europa, Titan and Morrow ## C06-P10-01 — Ten selected families with distinct local lives This package develops CEC02 through CEC11. CEC01, the optional Mars brine mat, remains conditional and unselected by the user's explicit choice. The Moon, Ceres, Io, Pluto and Cairn receive no new indigenous population through incidental scenery. Existing fuller destination chapters supply context, while this selected package concentrates on ecological form, habitat, response and useful interaction. The organisms are overt game fiction. Europa uses suspended, ribbon-like and attached filter forms. Titan uses low mats, folded fans and slow drifting seed bodies. Morrow uses broad fans, hanging membranes, bundled pillars and basin colonies. These families should remain distinguishable by silhouette before color, labels or particle effects are added. They are not reskinned Earth animals collected into a combat catalogue. ## C06-P10-02 — A consistent observation and response grammar The player first sees a normal posture or movement. A close approach reveals an understandable relationship: light, vibration, flow or a small set of substrate conditions. A warning changes posture, movement or a broad visual pattern before any meaningful consequence. A supported careful action obtains information or a limited sample. Disturbance can close an optional route or create a local obstacle, while a stable alternative allows retreat. The organism returns to a familiar ordinary state when the documented condition is restored. The journal separates observed facts from an untested hypothesis. It can state that a fan folded after bright light without claiming all members of the species share every possible hidden variable. A repeat observation or bounded study establishes the supported method. No essential discovery requires arbitrary idle research time, an exact real-time appointment or one irreplaceable specimen. Normal, warning, response, recovery and parked are useful state responsibilities, not a demand for five separate screens. The main view shows the current useful cue and action. Sound supports posture and visible feedback. Essential information must remain available without hearing subtle audio, distinguishing a single pair of colors or relying on cinematic shaders. ## C06-P10-03 — Sampling and cultivation have boundaries The first visit brings suitable instruments, containers, protective equipment and a conventional refuge from previously available sources. Local gel, membrane or ceramic products improve later operations. A player does not need the local discovery to construct the only tool capable of making that discovery. Record a sample's origin, family, containment duty and allocation. A retained specimen, a research portion and production stock are separate custody choices. A compatible culture can supply routine demand after the required conditions are understood. Ordinary dropped items and finished products cannot spread uncontrolled life through a home. Finished Living Ceramic panels are inert; exported fiber is an ordinary bounded item; living displays remain within supported enclosures. Cultivation asks for one or two meaningful conditions. A failed condition produces a clear waiting or recovery action rather than a hidden ecosystem score. Wild sites retain their scale and distinctive forms, while managed sources make repeated functional use practical. Routine collection cannot require killing a rare creature or dismantling a unique structural organism. # Ecology cards — form, habitat and interaction ## Europa ### C06-CEC02 — CEC02 Luminous drifter A small suspended body built from a few translucent-looking cuboids, with a broad luminous patch and short angular trailing forms. Its readable silhouette differs from an Earth fish or a realistic jellyfish. Lantern Ocean corridors around ice keels and sheltered rock prominences. The family occupies identifiable local groups rather than filling all open water. A resting eddy gives the player a stable observation position. Ordinary drift follows a slow local path. A close bright approach changes the patch pattern and turns the group away. Reducing disturbance from a safe distance lets the familiar movement return. Observe a repeated path and record the relation between light cue and shelter. The useful result is local navigation or ecological knowledge. Collection, where supported, uses a small contained sample from a repeatable source rather than killing the only specimen. The light cue supplements landmarks and instruments. Drifters are not automatic quest arrows or an unlimited portable energy source. Initial observation uses imported equipment, and returned samples remain inside compatible containment. ### C06-CEC03 — CEC03 Ribbon grazer A short, broad segmented ribbon with flat pixel bands and an economical block-shaped head. A few stepped joints communicate bending; avoid a long photorealistic wet body or dozens of thin tendrils. Sheltered surfaces and low-current ledges near the Lantern Ocean and garden margins. Grazing traces and quiet resting patches explain where it spends time; it does not populate every blank seabed. Ordinary feeding moves gradually along a defined patch. Obstruction or close vibration makes it gather its body and withdraw to cover. A clear alternate path lets the player retreat while the group settles. Observe feeding without standing on its preferred surface, then collect a permitted trace or record an ecological relationship. A mapped quiet passage and a repeatable research opportunity are valid rewards without a mandatory combat encounter. A grazer is not a tame mount by implication. Its response cannot cut off the only return to a pressure refuge. Any future harvest must protect a recoverable population and a contained research source. ### C06-CEC04 — CEC04 Filter colony A small group of blocky fan or cup forms fixed to a broad mineral base, with a few opening plates. Pale blue-grey and muted teal patches distinguish the living surfaces from nearby ribbed mineral laminae. Vent Garden interfaces where a bounded flow passes a supported mineral surface. Plain rock and a protected observation ledge give relief and keep a safe route visible beside the active patch. An open ordinary posture filters along the local flow. Excess light or vibration folds the plates and visibly reduces passage through the patch. A quiet interval restores the same readable local state. Observe from the ledge, use the low-disturbance tool and collect a limited renewable secretion or approved research portion. A compatible contained culture can later support PM07 Cryoseal Gel. PM08 Resonant Silica comes from a defined mineral interface, not automatically from every animal. The response is a bounded environmental puzzle. A folded colony can affect an optional route but cannot permanently trap the player. Recovery is understandable, and no global ocean ecology simulation is required. ## Titan ### C06-CEC05 — CEC05 Mat colony Low overlapping squared pads spread across a limited surface, with broad amber, slate and pale edge pixels. The mat is visibly flat and layered; it must not become ordinary grass, coral photo-detail or an Earth moss texture. Sheltered interfaces in Slow Gardens, with links to quiet Waxstone or Hollow Weather conditions. Mark a clear collection edge and preserve plain surrounding ground for movement and equipment. An ordinary flat posture changes slowly in a few visible folds when disturbed. The first lifted edge provides warning; moving away or changing the documented local input lets it flatten again. Map the patch, inspect the edge and take a small supported sample after the warning settles. Research can identify a compatible renewable feedstock for a selected polymer-related process. Ordinary chemical deposits remain an alternative where the source direction allows them. The mat's texture does not imply that every floor is adhesive, edible or combustible. No invisible universal ecological score penalizes nearby ordinary building. Contained cultivation needs one or two explicitly learned conditions. ### C06-CEC06 — CEC06 Membrane fan A compact angular support holds two or three broad flat membrane panels. The panels have coarse stripes and simple stepped edges, with no visible real fibers. Closed and open silhouettes must differ clearly at player distance. Protected Slow Garden ledges and local circulation pockets. Fans occupy discrete anchored groups, leaving recognizable shore, ridge or rock routes. They never form a generic tree canopy covering all of Titan. Ordinary panels open toward the supported local flow. A disturbed fan folds and releases a small visible vapor cue within a defined patch. The path outside that patch remains usable while it returns to ordinary posture. Compare open and folded forms from the side, record the safe approach and take an allowed edge sample. A studied managed source can support a membrane material or related instrument without requiring wholesale removal of the natural fan. Vapor is a readable local response, with matching tool feedback where it has gameplay effect. It cannot fill an entire region, damage a remote base or continue accumulating while the region is parked. ### C06-CEC07 — CEC07 Drifting seed form A simple central cuboid seed body with a few flat angular sail-like surfaces. Slow rotation is expressed through a small number of deliberate poses. Its silhouette is an unfamiliar propagule rather than a feathered animal. Sheltered local air corridors in Hollow Weather and Slow Gardens. Landmarks, receiver shelves and a calm pocket bound the movement so observation is possible without chasing an object across the planet. Ordinary drift follows the visible local condition. A disturbed form folds its sails or changes its short path. A settled pocket provides an obvious interception or observation opportunity when the condition returns. Use a prepared collector at the calm shelf, retain one contained study sample and record the propagation condition. Later cultivation can supply a defined material source; the first useful result may simply be a dependable weather-linked observation method. No unlimited uncontrolled seeding occurs from a dropped inventory item. The seed does not itself grant flight, and capturing it never requires a locally manufactured skiff on the first visit. ## Morrow ### C06-CEC08 — CEC08 Fan growth Large broad fan planes supported by a few economical stepped ribs and a stable base. The form uses muted cool-green, cream and warm accent pixels, with broad surfaces and clear gaps rather than photorealistic leaves. Dawn Canopy clearings and protected upper-vault margins. Fans create shelter and colored shade while bare stone shelves remain suitable for first landings and conventional refuge construction. Ordinary posture admits light to a visible clearing. Excessive close disturbance folds a selected panel and changes that local route's shade or access. Retreat restores the familiar posture without requiring a full-world reset. Observe the light relationship, identify a tolerant edge and collect an approved small sample or survey record. A carefully placed marker or walkway can improve access without cutting the whole structure. The plant does not make surrounding air breathable or local food safe. First study uses imported protection. A decorative home version requires contained compatible cultivation and bounded item behavior. ### C06-CEC09 — CEC09 Hanging membrane growth A small number of broad suspended sheets attach to visible rock or structural growth. Stepped folds and coarse two-tone pixels express the membrane; avoid ropes of realistic skin or thousands of thin hanging strands. Rooted Vaults and sheltered transition spaces where a lower ground route and an upper observation approach can coexist. Anchor points remain visible, and movement has enough clear space to read. Ordinary sheets hang with a gentle limited motion. Nearby cutting, bright light or another documented disturbance causes a selected fold to close. The player can step onto the stable side route while it settles. Map the response and take an approved edge sample with an earlier-made sensitive tool. A managed source can support PM18 Tidelace Fiber or a related responsive screen after study and explicit processing. Membranes are not automatically safe climbing surfaces. Only documented tolerant contacts support traversal. A folded sheet cannot trap a player in an unbreathable pocket or erase the known exit. ### C06-CEC10 — CEC10 Bundled pillar growth Several thick angular stems form a bundled column with visible supporting contacts. Broad bark-like pixel bands and pale finished-growth patches give it a restrained material identity. Keep ordinary stone visible around its base. Rooted Vaults and selected Dawn Canopy structures. Some authored tolerant surfaces provide ramps or platforms, while sensitive edges remain clearly distinct. Unique structural landmarks are protected from routine bulk recipes. Ordinary growth is stable in its saved form. A local disturbance changes a limited edge posture or warning pattern before a supported response. The main load-bearing shape does not unexpectedly collapse through player absence. Survey the tolerated route and study a renewable managed edge. A separate contained propagation source can mature into PM17 Living Ceramic, which is then processed into inert construction panels. Do not harvest the only support column to complete a required recipe. The natural landmark, cultivation source and finished building material remain separate identities with finite material accounting. ### C06-CEC11 — CEC11 Basin colony A low cluster of broad hinged-looking cups and fan plates follows a contained basin edge. The form stays economical and blocky, with readable open and folded silhouettes and a few restrained light patches. Tide Orchards and Hearthsea margins around explicitly bounded local flows. Raised ordinary ground provides a fallback route and a conventional observation position outside the changing water edge. Ordinary opening follows a visible local phase. A changed flow or direct disturbance folds part of the colony and alters a small route. The next supported phase or a reversible local adjustment restores access. Observe a complete local cycle, place harmless markers and choose a raised crossing or a small approved restoration. Research, improved access and a managed cultivation record are worthwhile results beyond harvesting. The cycle is not a planet-wide tide simulation or a real-time absence timer. Paused regions retain coherent state. Restoration changes the selected site and cannot silently redirect water through remote homes. # Ecological work, return value and completion ## C06-P10-04 — Three representative field studies At Europa, the player starts from a known anchored refuge or dock with imported pressure and cold capability. A sheltered observation ledge frames a filter colony and its flow. The player compares ordinary and folded postures, backs away from a warning and uses the low-disturbance method once the normal state returns. A preserved record and limited approved sample return to the refuge. Later compatible cultivation or processing can improve a cold seal. The first mission's exit and breathing reserve remain independent of that sample. At Titan, a ground route reaches a calm shelf near a Slow Garden and a sheltered air corridor. The player observes a membrane fan before approaching a drifting seed form. A change in local visibility suggests shelter and a later observation attempt, with partial survey progress retained. A prepared collector and known stable receiver support the sample. The return produces a useful weather or cultivation record, and a later membrane application improves a supported local craft. This is a field study inside existing context, not a newly expanded Titan campaign. At Morrow, a conventional refuge supports a visit to a Tide Orchard basin. The player observes a complete bounded local phase from raised ground, records the colony's opening and chooses a harmless marker line or supported crossing. A disturbance can be reversed without erasing the observation. The useful return is a clearer route, a contained research sample and a future local restoration option. Living Ceramic or Tidelace production follows an explicit studied managed source, not indiscriminate harvesting of the first beautiful landscape. ## C06-P10-05 — Art, animation and model direction The three concept sheets show each world's selected family set with readable ordinary forms and local contexts. Exact captions identify which form belongs to which CEC record; the images contain no invented names or numerical capabilities. Their role is to establish comparison and shape vocabulary. Detailed individual animation frames, meshes, textures and every harvest state remain later production tasks, with the textual state descriptions providing the required direction. New models should use economical cuboids, broad membrane planes and coarse pixel textures consistent with the user's Minecraft reference sheets. Artistic lighting can frame a habitat, while tiny photorealistic fibers, organic pores, translucent skin detail and granular surfaces are excluded. Scale is communicated by a simple player or equipment silhouette where useful, and remains a proposed design comparison rather than a final collision measurement. ## C06-P10-06 — Acceptance and interruption The documented family is complete when its silhouette, habitat, ordinary behavior, warning, supported interaction, recovery, containment and useful result are all intelligible. The cards supply these relationships for all ten selected families. A future implementation review should demonstrate an ordinary approach, a supported careful action, a recoverable disturbance, leaving and returning, and correct sample custody. No organism response may consume supplies or grow absence debt in an inactive managed region. A natural route has a fallback before a reactive patch can obstruct it. A contained sample has an actual receiving space before collection begins. A research result is recorded once. Repeating a study can support optional observation or production but cannot duplicate unique story knowledge into free material. Full Mars ecology, broader creature combat, complete farther-world campaigns and an unrestricted planetary ecosystem simulator remain outside this selected package.
